I met John and Megan last May at a white-water kayak training camp I was attending.
They were the sweep crew for my class. This meant they followed behind my class and made sure everyone was upright and breathing air instead of water. I figured these were VERY important people to get to know better. I had a great time and learned a ton about kayaking from them over the course of the weekend. They were instrumental in building my confidence to run my first class IV rapids this summer. As the summer progressed, I learned that they were engaged and to be married in October and told them that I was a wedding photographer. I was incredibly honored that they chose me to capture their wedding memories..

The summer came and went as the whitewater rose and fell, and it was finally time to witness the marriage of my new friends. They had an amazing fall wedding day – warm temperatures and beautiful blue skies. We started the day at the First Baptist Church in Evergreen, CO. A classic ceremony led to a very fun, and relaxed reception at the Evergreen Lake House. I know all their guests from near and far had a great time.

I look forward to more adventures on the rivers with John and Megan. Their zest for life is inspiring to witness, and I wish them the best.
