I was really getting antsy, dreaming about weddings at night (not nightmares, just happy wedding dreams). Kathy and I were so ready to get going this year.
We had been all over the country learning and sharing with other photographers and it seemed like an eternity till the first wedding.
The day FINALY came, Nick and Julie had their wedding at The Chateaux at Fox Meadows. It was great; Julie is the twin sister of Lindsay who married Joel last year (see previous blog entry about that).
I was really excited to shoot Julie’s wedding since we had so much fun photographing her sister’s wedding. It is great in this situation as they have the same friends so we saw many familiar faces and it went really well.

We started the day at the Renaissance hotel with hair and makeup while the guys were out golfing.
We had so much fun with the gals creating edgy portraits in the halls of the hotel. We then went on to the first encounter where Nick saw Julie for the first time.
We try to make this a really special moment and give them plenty of time to take it all in. Then we went on to the Chateaux in the rain. This did not harm a thing since the Chateaux is so pretty on the inside and out.
As the rain died down the rings and kisses were exchanged and the party started. This night seemed to fly by. I have fun at all the weddings we capture but this was like a time warp.
It might have had something to do with all those wedding dreams over the winter…. Nick and Julie are off to Hawaii for the honeymoon and I hope they check their email soon and see this story book from there wedding day.
It is going to be a great year and now I have to wait a week and a half till the next wedding…. Get ready Marta and Damian I am fired up!
