It was the luckiest day of the century; Triple 7s has been the most sought after wedding date for the last two years.
Time Magazine Reports: “The average number of weddings registered on the website for The Knot for any Saturday in July is about 12,000, but for 7/7/07 the number tripled to 38,000.”

Rick and Stormy took advantage of this incredibly lucky day. The sky was clear and blue, with a few puffy clouds for character.
All their planning came into place when their new backyard that had been under construction since March was finally finished the morning of the wedding. Their backyard is nicer than most commercial wedding venues, featuring two 20+ foot cascading waterfalls into a pool with a shooting fountain. Multiple tiered flagstone levels with a pergola at the top that was a perfect spot for the ceremony. Add 80 or so chairs, and voila, a perfect location for a wedding.

Their entire new home was used for the intimate wedding; the wedding and reception covered both patios and the entire inside of their home. We featured a DVD slideshow of our images from their engagement session in Colorado and Bachelor party in Las Vegas. The images played on 4 large TVs around the home and on the 90” screen in the theater room. Later that evening we gave them a sneak peak of the images from earlier in the day in the theater room. Some images were less than 10 minutes old and were bigger than life on the giant screen.

I have really enjoyed getting to know Rick and Stormy. They have been so much fun to photograph. Having done an engagement session and capturing their Vegas co-ed bachelor party and now their wedding day they feel like old friends. We are off to capture their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico next week. We are going to go crazy on the beach. Look for those images here in a couple of weeks.

I want to thank Wendee Walter at Custom Weddings of Colorado. She was a blast to work with and made EVERYTHING run so smoothly. She can be reached at (303) 946-4442 www.CustomWeddingsofColorado.com

To see Rick and Stormy’s wedding day storybook click the link below. I have hidden 7 sets of 7s in the book design just for fun. Some might be numbers while others might be sets of 7 things. The first person to identify the spread number with the location on the pages of the 7s will win a free 8×10 of their choice. Kind of like Where’s Waldo but with 777s. Enjoy.
