Redstone, CO, - October 8-9-10    (only 3 sessions remaining)

This is our most popular destination, so call soon as this books up every year. We have searched far and wide for the best fall color in Colorado, and Redstone tops our list. Redstone is a quaint Victorian artist community with a wonderful historic inn and a variety of art galleries featuring sculptures using pure white marble from a nearby quarry. It is nestled in a Crystal Valley carved by the turquoise waters of the Crystal River, and offers breathtaking scenery from every angle.

Only 3 sessions are remaining. Call now to reserve your session as these book up months ahead!  303.514.0834

It was nearing the end of summer with the oldest child of the Inslee family headed off to college in Arizona and the youngest starting 1st grade it was the perfect time to create a family portrait. These are the pivotal times in a family’s history that should be documented. We had a great time photographing them and getting to know the whole family better.

Best Friends Forever-Jayla and Grace

Jayla and Grace are best friends and have been forever. Jayla’s mom wanted to create one of our simplicity books showcasing the girl’s friendship. It was fun to shoot in the studio and really focus on what makes these two click. They brought everything from pillows and favorite stuffed animals for a pajama party to their sports uniforms, to matching outfits that they picked out together on their latest trip to the mall.  It was so much fun to capture this lifelong friendship.

I love the vignette of trees. I shot this to show their love for spending time together in the outdoors. I can almost smell the pines….

Spring in Boulder with the a non-standard view of the iconic First Flatiron in the background. This is all about the color (new Flowers and grass) and the depth of this mountain environment. We are so lucky to live in Colorado!

I love the texture in the clothing and surroundings. The scarf is a great touch. She looks so confident and relaxed; it is so hard to get that strong of a look out of a girl her age. This is very real and natural for her.

I love those boots? Would people whisper if I wore a pair like that?

Furry hoods are the best…… She looks so warm with the frigid blue background and the barren limbs of the tree.

This was the image I wanted to create over all the rest. I went into this shoot with this image in my mind; all the others were just a warm up.

It was freezing cold and the wind was gusting up to 30+ MPH. It is amazing how something great can come out of such an inhospitable environment. She gets huge merits for hanging in there while freezing to make this picture. She is bare-foot although you can’t see it in this image. This is a spot I will revisit many times this year. This was my first visit with a client and there is so much more potential here. Anyone interested?
