It is senior time…..
I am always excited to start shooting high school seniors. I really try to find a location that is not only going to photograph well but relates back to the seniors personality.
We have gone all over Colorado from grungy alleyways in Denver to snowy mountaintops of Rocky Mountain National Park.
I love variety and one thing every senior wants is to have different portraits from all the other kids at school. I am very open to suggestions for concepts of portrait ideas from the kids.
I also have dozens of locations and ideas I am just waiting for the right person. This is usually limited as to how far flung parents are willing to go.
Some of my latest have been created at 12,000 feet on the continental divide. A warm sunny day in Denver can still be cold at these elevations.
I have learned to bring a few extra jackets from my session with Brook recently.
I really like this time of the year for it’s creative possibilities. It is a nice change from the schedule of the normal wedding day.
We can take as much time as we need and plan the whole day around the best light.
I wish my brides would let me have that kind of control over their wedding day.
