I had a great time photographing Travis and Jen on a very nice spring day. We did the shoot at Red Rocks, a place I shoot at quite a lot as it is one of our most popular locations. It is known for its sweeping Red Rock spires and rockin concerts in the summer.Although I photograph here regularly, I am always looking to make a “new” image. What I mean is to not just be satisfied with the same spots and compositions I have used with previous clients but to really push to create something new for myself and the couple. This is easy at new locations I haven’t ever worked before and can be more of a challenge at the popular local spots we shoot in alot. Looking for differant nooks and perspectives or using a different technique in a familiar enviorment is the challenge but it really forces me to look outside the box and create a piece of art that is unique for each client. Jen and Travis are going to be married on Mackinaw Island, Michigan in the summer of 2009.
