I am always looking for great new locations to photograph in. Kathy, Abby and I spent the winter renting a home in the mountains near Nederland, Colorado while waiting to purchase our current new home in Lafayette.
Driving to I-70 took me through Central City frequently. I got really inspired by the architecture and quality of light. Central City was a near abandoned mining town reborn with gambling and casinos.
Many of the old buildings have been saved with all their charm intact. I was so glad that Scott and Lara were up for this. It seemed to get better and better as the session progressed.
We found so many great nooks to use for their engagement portrait and forthcoming book. I am really looking forward to their wedding this coming weekend. Look for their wedding day storybook to be posted here soon.
