I really had a great time working with Jesse and Adrienne. It was a classic day in the mountains. When I arrived on Independence Pass it was warm, sunny and beautiful. As I started preparing for the shoot the clouds started building, then sprinkles and then a full pouring rain. Great! As Jesse and Adrienne drove up I was unsure of what direction our shoot was going to go. I was surprised and excited that they were up for shooting in the rain. They have a great mellow attitude and were ready for fun.
We shot into the evening working our way up the pass using some of my favorite locations. The rain made the colors super saturated and soft. I love the glowing look in these images. As the evening progressed the rain stopped and the clouds stayed. Higher on the pass above tree line it was great to see the clouds below.
This incredible shoot just proves that less than ideal conditions can often provide better than ideal results.
I will be photographing Jesse and Adrienne’s wedding in November in Keystone.
